VACATIONS ?? ugh HUMBUG..!!
A specific trip or journey, usually for the purpose of recreation or tourism. This is the definition of vacation Wikipedia gives us. But for a guy who lived half of his life in boarding school where friends always come first vacations aren’t something to be fond of.

I m not much of a vacation loving guy. For
me a good vacation should be a week long, not more than that. This vacation was
as boring like all other ones in my life. Being a gym junkie, my plan for this
vacation was just to grow those six pack abs and be at my best fitness level.
As its said, with great goals come great distractions , same happened with me ,
party loving friends , mom who doesn't want his son to skip a meal and dad who
think that his son is focusing too much on fitness and of course ignoring studies
but after all these challenges I did manage good strong four packs.
I had the most monotonous vacations ever, apart from a two day trip to Rishikesh which I go every year to do river rafting I didn't go anywhere. Waking up late, eating and then again sleeping , going to gym in evening , watching sitcoms till late night and calling it a day. All this was going smooth till that bad-ass result showed up. And I knew nothing will be same from now as I was declared failed in 2nd year. No dinner was taken that evening, no sitcoms were watched, parents sensed something is wrong but obviously I didn't tell them what it was. I woke up whole night thinking about the options, rehearsing different scripts on how to tell parents that I failed my college. I had no idea how my parents will react to it because I never talked about studies or result to them since I joined college. Somehow I told them and obviously they were angry, very angry. I was asked to quit the gym, lots of restrictions came crashing hitting me hard telling me what I have done and worse I was grounded from partying for one whole year.
Then I took the decision, the decision I thought I should have taken before joining the college. I decided to quit engineering, go away from home and give a shot in music line(I am a drummer) which was my hobby and make a carrier out of it I told my parents about it and they were shocked and were speechless but eventually they agreed on the terms that they will financially support me for three months till then I need to find a stable source of income for me . All the preparations were made and I was ready to go and live up my dream but as we all know we live in INDIA and in here to become anything you first need to get an engineering degree (pun), now a days even villages have more engineers than farmers in our country. Hence I was asked to give one more shot, complete my bachelors and then follow the so called DREAM.

So that’s it , I m sitting here writing this essay and not
playing drums in some heavy-metal band in Mumbai or DJing in some awesome club
in Goa. But this is the game of life and
that’s how it’s played but as my experience till now says everything happens
for a reason so now be it engineering I’ll give my best this time.
