A Vacation....

A Vacation....

The upshot of Summer vacation is that you can go through the vacations, fairly confident that you won't come out of the vacations, feeling complete. And that changes the Meaning and character of Summer break COMPLETELY.  There is so much more with summer vacation that i can imagine, and each time it does not fail to surprise me. This time indeed i went out of my way to surprise vacations myself, and went to a trip to Malaysia and Singapore, the only two places in the world, i would never have went to spend my vacations. The reason being obvious, there is no heritage i would like to see there, but to my surprise, both of them have a completely different and exciting culture i must say from my dream destinations in europe. My first choice for a trip was Leh and ladakh, but thanks to my retard friend and our idiotic Chinese neighbour and there army, my dad didn't allowed to go there. So having a pity feeling on myself, i forcefully booked tickets and visas for Malaysia and Singapore, first i thought i will spend some time in Malaysia and then get a bus to Singapore and meet my friends there. I had created a small group of friends in Singapore and Malaysia as well, through some mutual friends and was really looking forward to finally meet them in person.

And the day finally arrived, I landed in Dhaka as i had a Transit flight to Kuala lumpur. What a dirty little place Dhaka is..I had a feeling that this trip is going to be in gutter by the time i reach KL itself. Sulking up the feeling i spend sometime fighting with wi-fi and signal prowess at the airport. No wi-fi in airport? I was shocked to my very core, this was turning out to be the worst nightmare for me. After a 2 hour wait at a Zombie airport, we took off for KL. Everything was going fine, then i accidentally saw out of the window was none other than a complete mind boggling scenery. By the way, i had to request a pretty lady to exchange the window seat with mine boring seat, and i am pretty sure she had a liking for me, because she herself did the exchange with someone, so who cares, it's selfish world after all, All i wanted was to get a good time in plane, and no feeling of guilt was going to come my way. So outside the window, was the best moment of the whole trip that was going to begin, the whole of Malaysia like a factory of Gold pipes and Gold Cracks, Light gleaming with Golden phenomenon with the same glow i had in my eyes, when i first saw it.

After reaching KL, I took taxi to our hotel, and i am pretty sure i am just going to sleep like a baby, as we reached KL at 4:30 in the morning. But to my surprise, the Rooms i booked was from the next day from 2pm and now i have to wait around 10 hours in the hotel lobby, jet lagged and furious with the nonsense hotel policy about booking day starting from 2pm. But that hatred was minimised by the availability of wi-fi in the hotel and my only connection right now with my friends. I tried to get a sleep, as i haven't slept more than a day now, but i don't know why i can't sleep in public, maybe the feeling of them taking out my pants when i am sleep...or someone slashing my throat, when i am deep in my dream with Emma Watson on a coffee. Finally thanks to my no sleeping nonsense habit, i got to know about swimming pool in the hotel, so i requested the hotel staff to secure my luggage while i start my vacation jet lagged, laughing while i said that. Pure Amazing view of my life the hotel swimming pool was adjacent to a local lake, and unlike Indian Lakes filled with goo, this Lake was surreal. After an amazing time, I went on to the Breakfast buffet, and literally forced my self to eat something. It's not that the food was not good, food was AMAZING, it's just i was half-sleep, half-awake, half-hangover and half-sick. Finally i decided to try and call my friend in KL, and start the vacation at least, he showed up in his brand new car... I was stunned, did he bought the car just for me or what? After a really, long drive to KL from hotel, what i noticed was that no-one and by no-one i mean NO-ONE, Blows horn in Malaysia. I was surprised and asked my friend what's the deal man? He laughingly explained the theory with Malaysian Drivers is that, If you blow horn you have 99% chance that you will hit that person, because you assume that the other person has heard the horn already and you try to get past, if you don't blow horn, you are extra cautious while driving and thus less chance of road accidents.
Then i realised how much horn i blow back in India, I was so ashamed of myself. And i in the coming days, i would be realising what a great experience i am taking back with me from Malaysia. After a long and NO SLEEP day, i decided to end the day with an Epsom-soap bath at my hotel. Outside of My room was the view of that great and amazing lake i was talking about earlier. So what was suppose to be a boring Vacation had a bumpy start but was gaining speed and excitement and to my Surprise adrenaline rush as well.

I would like to start with Singapore now, and believe me, the Malaysian Trip had a loads of fun, that i will not be mentioning, as it will exceed the length of this post. Now at Singapore, I took a bus from KL Sentral(Name of Place, Not Spelling Mistake), a Bus Service and had an amazing time, the Travel bus had A/C as well as Power Supply, so i can enjoy the ride, while watching Game of Throne's New Episode. But i couldn't resist the amazement of reaching a distance between Delhi and Mumbai in a matter of 3 hours and No bumpy rides i must add. It was just a glimpse of what i was about to experience in Singapore. And I was not disappointed, reaching the Singapore i was thrown at me a LOAD of buildings, and my god they were never ending, nothing but buildings, i was scared how people here manage oxygen with so much metal in place of trees. After reaching the bus stop, It was 2:30 in the morning and I was literally lost, I was suppose to go to a friend of mine and I was completely lost. Scared seriously, as unlike India there were no useless people roaming here and there. There were me and an old couple on the bus stand alone. After exchanging a lot of instance at my Big Travel bags and the amount of sweat i had, the lady asked me, "where do you want to go dear?" Shocked as i was, since i was checking the bus routes on the display near by, i said "Holland-Close" and I was sure, Allah was with me that night, because those guys were also going there, what were the chances of that? From all the millions location in Singapore, they were going the same place as i was. I was so relieved, but it was not everlasting as when the bus came, i was suppose to have a bus card, which i had no idea to bring, the old lady asked the driver who was Chinese, that i was new to the place, the driver was so good-hearted that he allowed me on the bus. Although i had some Singaporean dollars, with me, but since bus drivers were not allowed to take cash, i saved those money for buying a Travel Card Next morning. The Old couples asked me questions about the Girls being treated India, I tried my level best to clear the cloud over the misunderstand of a few people to judge some good people in India as well. The old lady even tried to ask me sarcastically, you love might not love your daughter than your son, and i truthfully answered it does not matter what child i will have, i will love them equally, because I don't bear a narrow minded mentality, an ability possessed by many in India, but i am unlike them. After a Long ride and Long talk, i tried to make a good Image of India in their mind, So hard i must say, i am just a young boy, the reputation of whole country on my small shoulders, really hard to maintain that. anyways after reaching the bus stop, the old couple very pleasantly took me the building where i was heading to, and while walking we all talked a lot, about a lot of stuff. To my surprise the old lady had a mother like caring for me, i don't know why, or every Singaporean is nice like that, but she was really being very affectionate, also said that go and call your parents as soon as you reach your room. I must say, I was really heart-taken by the attitude of people in South East Asia, First Malaysia and Now such a nice attitude in Singapore, where i must add everyone is Immigrant so basically, if that was the case in India, there would have been wars on North India and South India, but here, she was being very nice, and she was native Singaporean, not Chinese or India. At last i Reached my destination, after a small talk with my friends i reached for my laptop and update my location and photos on Facebook, and had a big smile on my fave when i was about to sleep. What was suppose to be a mundane vacation was turning out to be an amazing life experience. I thank Allah and My parents for giving me this opportunity to experience Life out of my natural bounded state. Next Day, I attacked on whole of Singapore. And i was so jealous of the life style of Singaporeans, that by god, i had tears in my eyes, they had bus service like top notch, and I had 5 taxi drivers and each one of them owned iPhones and were setting GPS and taking me to destinations, although the no horn rule was also applied here, which i later realised when I was heading to Changi Airport to Get back to India. Reluctant as it was, The Trip was about to end, an amazing Airport. All Good things must end, otherwise nothing new will Start, isn't it?

The way i see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The Good things don't always soften the bad things but vice versa, the bad things don't always spoil the good things or make them unimportant And I think Singapore and Malaysia has definitely added to my pile of Good Things.
