MY SUMMER VACATIONS

Summer Vacations , the other name of which is relaxation. Approaching summer vacations fills in us the feeling of happiness , a sense of relief , and above all excitement of doing something new and exploring something new . And same happened with me . I explored one of the most beautiful creations of god ,
with the name MOUNT ABU.During my past summer vacations , I went to Mount Abu , a hill station situated in the Aravali Range of hills .

It is a city of beautiful Mountains, lakes and temples .Main attractions of Mount Abu include Nakki Lake, Universal peace hall, and the temples of Adhar devi and Dilwara. I stayed there for almost a week and my time spent here left me with the most cherishable moments of my life.

Most attractive place in mount abu , according to me is , Nakki Lake. We were told that it is named so because it was dug from nails. Doing boating in the lake and watching beautiful fountains flowing in the evening was a great treat for me. For the very first time I watched a Turtle shaped Rock , that is situated nearby nakki lake only and the sunset view from nakki lake was something unforgetable.

The other day we have been taken to Adhar Devi Temple , a temple to Dattatrey built atop the Gurushikhar peak. Around 400 stairs are needed to be climbed to reach the temple but the climb is worth the effort to see the beautiful temple of lord Dattatrey and scenic beauty of Mount Abu from the top.

Very next day we went to yet another temple ,Dilwara Jain Temples. The five legendary marble temples of Dilwara are a sacred piligrimage place of jains. The ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars and panels is simply marvellous. One special thing about the temples is that unlike other temples visitors here are not restricted from taking camera's along with them inside. Known for its neat and clean environment and attractive location of being in the midst of forested hills, The chain of these five temples are considered one of the most beautiful jain piligrimage site in the world.

And lastly we went to Brahmakumari's Universal Peace Hall, also known as Om Shanti Bhawan. Specialty of this hall lies in the material of the idols of GOD built in it as they are entirely made up of various colorful glasses. This hall is built by Brahmakumaris for the meditation purposes and various meditation programmes are even executed by them.

I , along with my 3 cousins , enjoyed my stay at Abu Road alot but as the vacation was to end one day and so was the case of my trip to Mount Abu. Time rolled on and finally the day approached when I had to take leave from the valley of dreams. But visiting Mount Abu has been a great retreat from hot weather of Delhi
