'ITS GUD TO BE HOME'. The very sentence i spoke when I reached Lucknow.i had come back to my hometown to spend college vacations after the term break. I was overwhelmed with inexplicable feeling of elation. When I reached home at eight in the morning I found my grandfather sitting outside in the varandah and reading the daily tabloid. My grandmother had very dutifully taken a bath and was telling the beads of rosary seated in front of a worshipping idol. The first thing I did was to touch the feet of my elders and take their blessings. My mother was busy with kitchen chores and my father was reading and watching news.I stepped inside the kitchen and hugged my mother from behind.
My mother embraced me back and kissed my forehead. She was busy preparing breakfast for everyone. Then I rushed to my pet lucky and hugged him tight. I took him out for a walk. It was a bright sunny day. In the very afternoon I took my grandfather to the shrine he went frequently. At dusk I went out with my friends. We sat, discussed and relished over old memories of school days. All of us had kebabs and chat. Having returned home I sat with my family members and shared with them my experiences. I had developed the habit of getting early in the morning and take lucky out for a walk. After having my breakfast I went out with my friends to play snooker, the indoor game that fascinates me the most! One of the days my family and I went to visit Deva mosque. A road journey to a mosque with family!! The weather too was pleasant that day and conducive for a road journey. I prayed for my family. I also got my X box repaired. Playing games with X box is a great fun. One day we had also planned to visit old luck now. Raja ki thandai is one of the famous thandai available in Luck now. My mother also bought me a chicken kurta from the chauk area. Spending time with family is the best moment for me. But amidst the amusement and delight there were pangs of fear of the forthcoming examination results.
The day result was to be announced I was full of anxiety. That evening I took my grandmother to an eye specialist for check up. Due to in availability of internet service I told my friend to check my result for me. I had expected a satisfactory result but unfortunately my expectations fell apart when I came to know my result. It was difficult task to inform my parents about my result. Yet I gathered strength and courage to acquaint them with the reality. My parents although reacted normally but with time they imposed restrictions on me. Daily hanging out with friends was not allowed. Less use of cell phone was made compulsory. My parents got my reservation done and after few days I had to leave for college again. It was a heart rending farewell for me. I missed those days I enjoyed with my friends and family during the vacations. Seated in the train I saw my parents waving at me and finally as the train gained momentum the vision became obscure and eventually disappeared!!!!!!!!
